Located near Pune, Sinhagad is an extremely popular monsoon destination. Though it is a favourite with trekkers, for the less adventurous, vehicles can be driven right upto the parking area near the main entrance of the fort. Wide steps from the main entrance lead to the upper regions and other areas of the fort.
Local villagers from around the area set up makeshift stalls and serve tea, pakoras and pitla-bhakri (a local delicacy). Sipping a hot cup of tea on a dreamy wet afternoon with clouds flitting around your feet and incomparable views can be an experience of a lifetime.
Adventure activities like Rappelling is conducted by professionals on the massive walls of the fort.
