Broccoli Butter Fry

Broccoli Butter Fry is an extremely quick, delicious and healthy meal which can be eaten as a snack or a side. The butter and Italian seasoning add just the perfect amount of flavor to the Broccoli while retaining its texture and taste. Its the perfect snack between meals to keep the hunger pangs away. Kids just love to eat buttered broccoli and it’s the easiest lunch box option for moms!

Ingredients – Broccoli Butter Fry
  • Broccoli Florets – 3 cups
  • Butter – 6 Tbsp.
  • Garlic Paste – 1 tsp (optional)
  • Chilli Flakes – ½ tsp
  • Mixed Herbs – ½  tsp
  • Basil – ½ tsp
  • Black Pepper Powder – ½ tsp
  • Salt to taste

Broccoli Butter Fry

 

 

Method of Preparation:

Take 2 broccoli heads, cut them into small florets and wash the Broccoli well.

To Blanche the Broccoli, Boil 6 cups of water in a vessel with 1/2 tsp salt.

Add the washed broccoli to the water and let it blanche away for 2 minutes.

Turn off the heat and strain it in a sieve and keep aside.

Heat 6 Tbsp of butter in a pan and add the garlic paste.

Add the blanched broccoli to the pan and toss it up well to mix it up with the garlic butter.

Add the seasoning – chilli flakes, Italian herbs, dried basil, black pepper powder and salt to taste. Toss it up well again.

Delicious Butter Broccoli is ready.

Garnish with some grated cheese and serve it hot with garlic bread.
